Workplace Violence/Emergency Response  [a Staff Assembly Learn-at-Lunch]

 

Date: Monday, September 26th

Time:  Noon to 1 pm

Place:  Police Briefing Room (Participants need to check in with the front
desk at Police Headquarters to gain access to the room.)

Identifying, Preventing, and Managing Workplace Violence-Keys to keeping the
workplace safe and productive.  Some issues related to Emergency Response
will be discussed, however the main focus will be on workplace dynamics,
resources and the Campus Threat Management Team.

 

 

UCLA Committee on LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) Affairs
- Staff Appointments

Dear Colleagues:

Staff Assembly will appoint three staff members to serve on the UCLA
Committee On LGBT Affairs. The Committee reports to CODI (Committee on
Diversity and Inclusion) and acts as a resource for the campus and community
regarding LGBTQ topics and climate concerns. Among its specific
responsibilities, the committee is charged with the following:

.                     Referring issues and incidences of concern raised by
the campus, community and the board 

.                     Advising and making recommendations on the
implementation of the various campus diversity plans and programs 

.                     Working in conjunction with the appropriate academic,
medical or staff compliance committees as a resource for development and
review of policies and practices that support the LGBTQ community

 

 

This is a great volunteering opportunity to get more involved in campus
affairs. We are accepting self-nominations  through Wednesday, September 28,
