[Staff Assembly] Spring Quarter Breakfast with the Chancellor - May 12, 2011

Dear Colleagues,

Appliactions are now available for the Spring Quarter Breakfast with the
Chancellor.  Applications are due by Friday, April 29, 2011.

Supervisors: if employees in your area do not have convenient access to a
computer during the workday, please go to the above web address to download
a hard copy of the application, which can be completed and faxed to me at
(310) 206-7433. 

The application is very short and only takes a few minutes to complete.
Please feel free to call or email me with any questions. If you have applied
for past Breakfast with the Chancellor events and were not selected, I
encourage you to reapply for this event.   Below, please find the event
details.

Breakfast with the Chancellor
Spring Quarter 2011
Date/Time: Thursday, May 12, 2011 8:30 - 10:00 am

Event Description: Through this application process, 13 staff members are
randomly selected to participate in a quarterly event titled ³Breakfast with
the Chancellor.² The event gives UCLA staff an opportunity to meet and
interact with the Chancellor and for the Chancellor to talk to and hear from
staff. Supervisors of those selected to attend will be notified and are
encouraged to grant sufficient release time for the breakfast, provided that
the absence would not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.


Eligibility: All staff members who have at least one year of service and
currently hold career appointments may apply to attend the breakfast. Those
classified as Senior Management Group are not eligible. To ensure that the
maximum number may participate, those selected to attend may not apply
again. However, those who have applied but not been selected may apply for
future breakfasts. Application deadlines and breakfast dates are posted on
the UCLA Staff Assembly website at http://www.staffassembly.ucla.edu.
