Dear Colleagues,

 

Applications are now available for the Fall Quarter Breakfast with the
Chancellor Program. Applications are due on Friday, October 24, 2008.
To apply, please go to the Staff Assembly website and complete the

 The application is very short and should take only a few minutes to
complete.  Please feel free to call or email me with any questions. If
you applied for the Summer Quarter event and were not selected, I
encourage you to reapply for the Fall Quarter event.   Below, please
find the event details.

Breakfast with the Chancellor Event
Fall Quarter 2008 - Monday, November 17, 2008 8:30-10:00am

Event Description: Through this application process, 13 staff members
will be randomly selected to participate in a quarterly event titled
"Breakfast with the Chancellor." The event will give UCLA staff an
opportunity to meet and interact with the chancellor and for the
chancellor to talk to and hear from staff. Supervisors of those selected
to attend will be notified and are encouraged to grant sufficient
release time for the breakfast, provided that the absence would not
infringe upon the performance of required job duties.  
 
Eligibility: All staff members who have at least one year of service and
currently hold career appointments may apply to attend the breakfast.
Those classified as Senior Management Group are not eligible. To ensure
that the maximum number may participate, those selected to attend may
not apply again. However, those who have applied but not been selected
may apply for future breakfasts. Application deadlines and breakfast
dates are posted on the UCLA Staff Assembly website at
