A message from Jim Davis, Associate Vice Chancellor, 
Information Technology:

The University of California Microsoft Consolidated 
Campus Agreement (MCCA) can provide substantial savings 
to UCLA departments using Microsoft products.  The 
deadline to enroll in the MCCA for the 2004-05 Fiscal 
Year is May 14, 2004.  The MCCA is highly customized to 
meet the needs of UC departments and includes numerous 
unprecedented and beneficial features such as:

*Discounted pricing on desktop and server products - 
minimum discount level for desktop products is 14.5%

*No price increase for 3 years

*Pricing based upon number of knowledge worker FTE 
instead of quantity of computers

*Substantial additional price decreases as FTE volume 
grows

*Simplified compliance and administration - no need to 
track installed desktop products per computer

*Desktop products for lab computers at no additional cost

*Flexible payment - pay in 03/04 or 04/05

*Consistent predictable expenses every year

*The right to use current version of covered products - 
upgrade at your own pace

*Work at home rights included at no additional cost

IMPORTANT INFORMATION SESSION ON APRIL 6, 2004
On April 6, 2004, 1:30PM-3:30PM, a presentation to 
provide further details regarding the MCCA will be held 
in the UCLA Faculty Center's Hacienda Room.  All IT, 
Administrative and Financial Managers from departments 
interested in Microsoft products are encouraged to 
attend.  Refreshments will be provided.
