UCLA STAFF ASSEMBLY INVITES YOU TO OUR ANNUAL

"CONVERSATION WITH THE CHANCELLOR"

Please join us on February 21, 2003, from 11:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the
James West Alumni Center for a brown-bag Town Hall meeting with Chancellor
Albert Carnesale. This event will provide a forum for the Chancellor to
discuss such topics as: the impact of the State's budgetary crisis on UCLA;
campus safety; the status of executive searches, including the search for a
new Executive Dean of the College of Letters and Science (formerly the
Provost); and updates on such activities as "UCLA in LA" and other campus
initiatives.

In order to maximize our time with the Chancellor, we are asking attendees
to submit questions in advance to the Staff Assembly website at
www.chr.ucla.edu/assembly. Please note that if time permits, Chancellor
Carnesale will answer additional questions from a microphone available to
the audience. The event will start promptly at noon.
We ask that you use the website to RSVP, whether or not you are submitting
a question.
