Lawsuits against SYATP.

To the contrary, as I am sure many on this list are aware, dozens of groups  
across the spectrum, including the ACLU and Americans United, endorsed a  1995 
"Joint Statement of Current Law on Religion in the Public Schools" that  
included this section:
 
 
"'See You at the Pole'
11. Student  participation in before- or after-school events, such as 'see 
you at the pole,'  is permissible. School officials, acting in an official 
capacity, may neither  discourage nor encourage participation in such an event."   


The joint statement is signed by dozens of religious and legal groups and  is
