Indeed they did, and they were wrong to do so. But the only way we may 
consistently say that they were wrong is to appeal to universal 
principles of human rights. Or were we being "hegemonic" to object to 
the Nazis killing homosexuals (and Jews...and gypsies...and dissidents...)?
