Christianity in Saudi Arabia

I heard some disturbing news today on NPR today. When William Casey,
a devout Catholic, was visiting Saudi Arabia (on an Easter Sunday), he asked
his hosts for a Church or a Chapel to attend Easter Services. He was told
that Christinaity was banned in Saudi Arabia, and that he was warned not to even
attempt to construct a "make-shift" Chapel to practice his faith. Is
Christianity still banned in Saudi Arabia? I'd be happy to receive answers off-list.
