This is the first I've heard of this group, and I haven't focused on
this closely enough to see what their political spin might be, but given the
money for students, it struck me as fitting with the "public interest
announcement" category, so I'm passing it along.

Subject: William Pew Religious Freedom Scholarship - Cash Awards for Law
Students - $$$$
The William Pew Religious Freedom Scholarship competition is an annual
writing competition administered by the Alliance Defense Fund for law
students.
Winning law students receive cash awards as follows: First Place = $5,000;
Second Place = $2,000; and Third Place = $500.
The issue for the 2003 Pew Scholarship Competition is:
"Do publicly funded state law school placement offices violate the First
Amendment rights of law students and prospective religious legal employers
by requiring such employers to certify that they do not discriminate on the
basis of religion, marital status, sexual orientation, and other grounds?"
