seminar syllabi

I am contemplating teaching a seminar on church state relations drawing
less on doctrinal materials than on theoretical, sociological,
historical, and comparative materials.  I would be interested in seeing
syllabi that people use for similar courses or sections of courses.
Alternatively, I would be grateful for "must include" suggestions -
books or articles (self promotion perfectly fine in your suggestions).
I'd be grateful for any suggestions on or off list. Thanks.
