Yes, the Princeton case followed Pruneyard.  (Schmid was argued in 1981.)  Princeton's argument was that its being a university gave it special first-amendment rights (to exclude unwanted ideas!) that a shopping center did not have.  As I say, I think there is general agreement that this wasn't Princeton's finest hour.
