James Dwyer's position

James Dwyer gets more and more reasonable by the day. As I understand
his position, he really has no objection to vouchers. His objection
is entirely to lax accreditation standards. May I suggest that his
concern for children would gain credibility if he would openly
embrace that combination of positions: (1) Only schools meeting
reasonable criteria of educational quality may receive accreditation,
and (2) Families should be able to choose among accredited schools,
public or private, secular or religious, under a neutral voucher
scheme?
(At that point, our remaining differences would be over the content
of accreditation standards, which is more or less a question of
degree.)
