        I obviously don't speak for David Wagner.  But it is certainly possible to
believe that a person in an abusive relationship should immediately walk
out the door -- absolutely, positively, no qualifications -- and also
believe that millions of Americans are far too casual about divorce.  I had
good friends who got a preventive divorce -- they weren't having any
problems yet, but they anticipated that they would have problems at some
time in the future.
