I tend to agree with Michael Masinter, until more people get unhappy --
perhaps somewhere in the circles if that's what they are, some new
epicycle will allow Andy or Rick to get through to the other interestingly.

I see no reason to silence Andy or Rick.  Neither has violated the norms
of civilized discourse.  Those who find the subject unworthy of
discussion
have free use of the delete key.  I prefer the freedom to make up my own
mind on questions of relevance until the rare occasion when someone
abuses
the list.  Thankfully the participants on this list never do.
