I know of nothing.  The West Virginia state constitution specifies that
thatere shall be no rligious test for office, but I know of nothing to
require that a candidate remind the vothers of that.

Living in one of the many places described as "the buckle of the Bible
belt," I find this campaign practice highly unusual.
