Somewhere in the American Political Science Review there is a
statistical survey which suggests that mainstream religions are more
likely than non-mainstream religions to win free exercise cases.  I
don't recall whether I thought the article very good, but given the
review process I suspect that if the authors claimed their survey was
statistically significant, they are probably right (it's the sort of
error my folks are real good at catching).
