I am puzzled by the fact that Michael is so quick to conclude that
religious publications would not satisfy an "educational value"
standard. Religion and religious/theological matter is, to my mind,
clearly educational, speaking as it does in two powerful epistemological
senses -- to the spirit (heart) and the mind. The exclusion of religion
would, to my mind, have to be based on some grounds other than the fact
that it lacked educational merit.
