I would encourage Mr. Koven to let us know about "questions of internal
governance that are being debated and resolved purely within the
institution." It seems to me that the general topic of "law and religion"
is capacious enough to include non-state "law." Church "law," incidentally,
can be distinguished from theological disputes within a church, which are
dicier in terms of the "jurisdiction" of the list, but it seems to me that
the internal practices of associations, especially if they have in fact been
"codified," have more than enough law-like characteristics to be of general
interest.
