I would not presume to "answer" Gene's unanswerable call for relevance,
but by way of clarification, I'd like to inquire whether the foregoing
mission statement is intended to exclude items more generally falling
within the ambit of "law and religion" or "law and religious
institutions," gritty matters like internal governance, property,
and the like. Since I do act sporadically as general counsel for a church,
these subjects do arise and I would like to be certain that when they do
this is an appropriate forum for raising them.
