Mike McConnell notes that liberalism cannot be based on skepticism.

I agree, although Learned Hand and Bruce Ackerman argue the other
way.

But I wonder: are the ungrounded assumptions of liberalism
necessarily inconsistent with the ungrounded assumptions of
evangelical faith?, and further, should one equate "ungrounded
assumptions" with "faith"?

If I weren't so lazy, I'd work all this out by myself, but I do hope
that others will share their thoughts on these matters, even if they
are as uninformed as mine are.
