Yale, CLS & Steve Carter

I am writing a little piece on the Yale/CLS controversy, and I have a
question about the facts. Was Steve Carter the *chair* of the
committee that considered this matter or was he merely a *member* of
the committee? Does anyone know? Jack Balkin? Greg Baylor?
