Rick Hills is right that there is a thriving Federalist Society at
Yale. There was when I was a student there, too. But it seemed to
thrive from adversity. It was a widely attacked, criticized student
group.

When I was there (1982-85), there were, I would say, two conservatives
on the faculty -- both adjuncts: Ralph Winter and Robert Bork. Now,
Yale can't be faulted for Ronald Reagan raiding their faculty. But
it's been eleven years now. I am curious who Rick identifies as the
"conservatives" on the Yale faculty. Are there any in the public law
area? Are you counting Steve Carter? Akhil Amar? I ask the question
in all sincerity.
