Hello Network Members,

Every year, the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Greater Midwest Region (GMR) partners with the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) to offer classes in PubMed, as well as one-on-one training and an exhibit table. The RSNA 2011 Annual Conference will be held the week after Thanksgiving, November 27th through December 2nd, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Complete meeting details are available at: http://rsna2011.rsna.org/. Since RSNA is an international meeting, GMR is seeking up to five volunteers who are fluent in a language in addition to English to help staff the booth for the entire conference period. Other tasks include teaching one 1.5 hour PubMed class in English (either advanced or basic class), proctoring (answering PubMed questions) during these classes, and providing one-on-one personal instruction to booth visitors. Multi-lingual speakers are needed to answer questions in languages other than English. There may also be requests for classes in languages other than English.

RSNA will cover travel and hotel costs, plus a per diem, covering arrival on Saturday, 11/26, and departing Friday afternoon, 12/2. The work day is 8:30 am to 5 pm, with evenings off. You will also have one day off during the week to enjoy Chicago. If you are interested in participating or need further information, please contact Holly Burt at GMR, haburt at uic.edu<mailto:haburt at uic.edu>. Feel free to ask me questions also.
