We have an interesting offer for California non-profit hospital libraries (the limitation to California and non-profit has been defined by the vendor, not by SCELC or the NN/LM). Nature publishes a number of society journals which are included in this offer.
The offer is for July - December 2010 - so as to make it easier to move to a January through December cycle. Prices are based on ranges of physician FTE (note - this is not the number of physicians with privileges at a hospital, but a hospital's FTE physician count).

Dear NN/LM California members,

We are pleased to announce a new, updated offer from Nature Publishing Group (NPG) to the non-profit NN/LM libraries of California.  This offer, which bundles NPG's most-popular titles among hospital libraries nationwide, provides institutions the opportunity to save either 25% or 50% off the site license list price of these journals.

Description & Content
NPG has analyzed subscriptions from hospitals and hospital systems across the country, and has bundled these journal offerings into two groups: a "Top 5" package and a "Top 10+1" package.  The "Top 5" package includes NPG's five most popular titles among hospitals and the "Top 10+1" package includes their ten most popular titles (It's called the Top 10+1 because there are two journals tied for tenth most popular.)  These packages include the following journals:

Pricing
Please see the attached order form for pricing.  Note that the bundled discount for the "Top 5" package is 25%; institutions that subscribe to the "Top 10+1" package will receive a 50% discount.  Pricing for NPG journals is based on Physician FTE.  Also, note that alternate titles may be swapped within either of these packages at their according prices, and as long as the number of titles within the package remains constant, the same discount will apply.

SCELC will add its usual $50 affiliate transaction fee at the time of the original invoice for each subscribed journal, and will add 5% of the invoiced price(s) to your institution's annual Administrative Surcharge Invoice.  For more details about these charges, visit the affiliate guidelines at:
