UCLA Alumni Association Distinguished Senior Award

Enclosed please find information on the 2006-07 UCLA Alumni Association
Distinguished Senior Award (DSA).

DSA applications may be downloaded from the Alumni Association web page at
www.UCLAlumni.net/scholarships <www.UCLAlumni.net/scholarships>
Applications will also be available at the Alumni
Association, Scholarship Resource Center and one of several sandwich boards
around
campus. 

This year's competition is open to Seniors from all academic departments who
have
completed at least 36-quarter units at UCLA with a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
Academics are
an important part of the criteria; however, students should also demonstrate
strong
leadership experience and involvement in UCLA and the surrounding community.
Each faculty or staff member is invited to sponsor no more than two
undergraduate
students. Past Distinguished Senior Award recipients are ineligible.
Applicants must be
U.S. citizens, permanent residents or have official refugee status. This
year awards will
range from $1,000 - $3,000 each. Completed applications with letters of
recommendation must be received in the Distinguished Senior Award box
located at
the James West Alumni Center by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 24, 2006!
