PAUL AND DAISY SOROS FELLOWSHIPS FOR NEW AMERICANS

Targeted Fields
Open to all fields. 

Open To
Prospective/Current Graduate Students. 

Citizenship
Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Must be a "New American"-
1. A resident alien with a Green Card, 2. Naturalized as a U.S. citizen, 3.
Is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens.

Eligibility Requirements
Must be under 30 years old. Open to enrolled graduate students (not passed
2nd year), college seniors, and recent graduates.

Stipend
Awards provide stipends of $20,000 per year plus partial tuition.

Deadline
11/1/2006 

Program Description
Approximately 30 fellowships support "New Americans" pursuing graduate
studies for up to 2 years. "New Americans" include Green Card holders,
naturalized citizens, and children of parents who are both naturalized
citizens.
