UCLA EARTH DAY PRESENTATION:
"Sunlight is Life: A Revolution in Sustainable Buildings and Solar Electric
Architecture"
Northwest Auditorium, Sproul Hall, UCLA
4:30pm Thursday April 21st
This presentation by Steven Strong, "the father of solar power," weaves
technology, politics and social policy together with humor and stunning
visuals to clearly demonstrate that the end of the era of cheap oil is upon
us. Renewable energy is ready, here and now, to help define the path to a
sustainable energy future in the post-petroleum world.
Steven Strong is the President of Solar Design Associates, Inc., a group of
Architects and Engineers dedicated to the design of environmentally
responsive buildings and integration of renewable energy systems. He's been
named Time Magazine's environmental "Hero of the Planet" in 1999, and
Audubon Society's 2003 "Entrepreneur of the Year."
