Dear Dr
Briner

I am sending
you an Email that I received from Dr Tom Underhill concerning the radius of my
student.

Best
regards

Hello,

about the protuberance about 1cm above the radial head, that is the radial
tuberosity. It is the normal attachment for the biceps tendon. It often appears
slightly radiolucent.

Dear Dr
Briner

Thank for
your response and I agree with what you already mentioned.

It is not
our field of work and I am not claiming to set a diagnosis for this kind of
image. What I was looking for is a response from any of the colleagues who is
familiar with this kind of images in order to reorient my student.

Dear Dr.
Dario

Thank you
for your concern. Unfortunately I only have this projection that I got from my
student.

Best
regards

Good morning Prof Khairallah. Is there another projection of arm? i don't think it is a patological image, but it is better to see a orthogonal projection.. Best regards dario cavallini francolini irccs policlinico san matteo pavia italia

Dear Alexandre,
Normally I see mistaken diagnostics, made from general radiologist, when they intrude in our area of knowledge. Of course this happens vice-versa.

According to my experience, is far better to let this diagnosis in the correct hands. What happens if you calm your student's anxiety, and your opinion is a mistake with bad consequences?.

Kind regards
Dr. Andres Briner

Dear
Oradlist

The student
had a car accident 2 months ago with no apparent fracture; the radiograph was a
part of an Xray status done at that time. The Er doctor didn't mention anything
about it but the student is anxious to know what it is?
