Looks like a radiopaque dye or an artifact so made . A PA skull view could have provided another dimension about its exact location before a CT scan is advised

Dear Colleagues,



I would appreciate your opinion concerning the attached Panoramic (taken 

for Implant-planning purposes)



Female Patient, 70y, no known operations in the head and neck (at least 

she doensn't remember any operations), no glasses, jewelry or foreign 

objects in the head/neck area during exposure.

Medical history: hypertension, controlled by ca-canal blocker

No headaches, dizziness, sinus- or eyeproblems.



A panoramic from 18 month ago shows the same picture.



Has anybody seen something like this before? Next step will be a CT, but 

that will not take place before next month.



Any suggestions are welcome.
