I agree with Ricardo...these lesions are normaly asymptomatic...so the clinical signs and symptoms are not related to the lesion.

Dear Ebithal, I think there is no relationship between the patient's symptoms and the image seen in the scanner.
I believe this is an idiopathic osteosclerosis

My first impression would be : idiopathic osteosclerosis (dense bone island, enostosis). No treatment necessary.

      Dear Colleagues
I need your help in this case
A 26 years old female with history of swelling in the left side of the mandible "below tooth #37" since 10 years associated with occasional itching and erythema, soft swelling over it no obvious buccolingual cortical expansion , lesion is not clearly seen in the periapical and panoramic x-rays, CT was taken for the patient , the reformatted panoramic image and side view 3d x-ray shows 3 well defined homogenous radiopacities one large under #37 ~2cm but not related to the roots and 2 smaller radiopacities distal to it. axial sagittal and cross-sectional images shows that 2 of them are nearly attached to the lingual cortical plate of the mandible.

      Any suggestion?

      Thanks
