Hi Dania: 

First I want to congratulate you and Hui on the imminent launch of the new AAOMR website. This has been a tremendous task but looks very nice already. As mentioned previously, it will undoubtedly take a year or two to fully mature and I am both relieved and excited at what you have been able to do already in such a short time. This will be a tremendous resource, especially for AAOMR members, but also for others as well. 

This information on present programs in NOrth America is valuable for individuals seeking to join our discipline, and needs to be in place immediately. The history of past programs will be useful for Adi in the future as he creates the AAOMR Virtual Museum and Archive.  Present will do for now!

There have been top programs in the past at UAB (Manson-Hing) and Pennsylvania (Harrison Berry, LeRoy Ennis...). Stu White once has a program at UCLA... and Dale Miles at Indiana University. Then there was Worth... I think it would be a very difficult task to give a complete overview as OMR only became a recognized specialty 10 years ago so who decides what was a bona fide program previously? ... and the ABOMR became active only in 1981. Important history to be retained yes, of immediate need, I think not. We will get there...eventually...

 I am working on the new AAOMR website, and I need to include a list of all OMR programs, past and present.

 

Does anyone out there have this list? I know the ones that are now in existence, but what about the great programs that many of you graduated from? Please email me directly (daniatamimi at hotmail.com). I need this ASAP.
