Dear Andres,

Based on the selected images I agree with professor Lurie and like to add only one observation. There seems to be a fluid/air interface indicating also acute (silent) infection overlying the chronic changes.

Thank you for your opinion.  I'm trying to get in contact with the patient, to know more about her clinical history.   As soon as possible, I will add this information to oradlist.   I forgot  to say that the file enclosed,could be opened only PC compatible units,with windows OS.   Once installed in the desktop it should be expanded double clicking on it, inside the folder xxxxx.xxxx.xxx  you will find multiple files, then double click on ODViewer.exe

This patient appears to have undergone a nasal antrostomy sometime in the past, as there is a large discontinuity in the medial wall of the sinus.  There is strong evidence of longstanding maxillary sinus infection - the extensive soft tissue swelling, and the hyperostotic bone adjacent to the lateral and superior sinus borders argue for this, and suggest chronic osteomyelitis of the adjacent bone.

I suggest you to explore the whole volume if possible.   In this case please download file to your desktop and then run ODviewer.exe inside the folder containing other needed folders.   It will open automatically the multiplanar view, you can explore moving the color lines with the mouse.
