Dear Prof. Phraba,

Perhaps a quick search on Pubmed would provide some articles on this
subject. I concur with Dr. Briner when he suggested estimating the girl's
age with a hand/wrist radiograph and the Greulich & Pile's method. Of course
if you need more accuracy you'll need to find an article that provides an
adjustment of Greulich & Pile's method to the local population.

Kind regards,

Jefferson Tanaka

Assunto: [Oradlist] Age estimation

Dear colleagues,
I need to determine the age of an Iraqi refugee girl residing in Malaysia. I
took a panoramic radiograph of her dentition and she happens to have all
her teeth completely formed except for the third molars. There was only one
third molar tooth developing- no 38(FDI), while the others are congenitally
missing. This tooth shows Demirjian's developmental stage D (advanced ) .
Has anyone done age estimation studies on Iraqies? Your assistance would be
very much be appreciated.
Thanking you.
