Hello
Yes I sure would like to have a 3D but we dont have one at the University and the lady wont pay for one outside. Besides, she doesnt seem to care much (over 80 yo). It basically would be just to please my inquiring mind.
Thanks for all your input.
Joanne

Dear Joanne and Kenneth,
Just to let you know that "this time" I agree to go for a 3D imaging technique ;-)

Salut Joanne,
It is hard to make a diagnosis on these two images alone. There is not enough detail in these copies to discern whether or not this opacity has a trabecular pattern. It is also difficult for me to locate whether or not this is in the maxillary sinus. The smooth round outline is suggestive of a mucous retention/extravasational phenomenon but ……… Additional skull views - Waters’ and SMV would help localizing it. Better yet, shall I suggest some form of CT?
Regards,
KA

Hello everybody:
Since you all have those good sinus opacities, I found that one today at McGill and I thought it was " a propos" to send it. There is also a postero anterior view. This is an 80 something year old female. I sure would like your opinion of it. Is this an osteoma ?
I sure wish I had a 3D of it.

Here is a maxillary sinus opacity with a sponge-like appearance. It was a routine finding. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Barry
