[Oradlist] Impacted Mandibular Canine

Dear all:

Few months back, Lisa had shared with us an interesting canine impaction.
Lars had suggested that the phenomenon is gubernacular dentis. Some of you
wanted to see a CBCT of such an impaction.

Here is one, although not as dramatic as the one that Lisa had shared with
us. It does have a similar "sinus" tract.

Enjoy.

Mansur

Unfortunately, poor Lisa doesn't have a CBCT yet L Keeping my fingers
crossed for the Spring. FYI, patient is a 37 yo female who also happens to
have an impacted maxillary canine.

Now that, is an interesting presentation that would be great to see in 3-D
with CBCT.... any chance?

Dear Colleagues, I was asked to look at the attached today by a student.
She told me that she and a faculty member had examined the patient and did
not see any visible evidence of a sinus tract. Have any of you ever seen
this appearance before? Lisa
