Hello,

I tore this out of a travel magazine on one of the MANY international
flights I had to take this year. I've been trying to hold off posting it on
oradlist until next year when we're actually going to be in Chicago, but I'm
afraid that I'll lose it as I move (yet again - sigh). It's a museum in
Chicago dedicated to the history and development of surgery and related
subjects. One of these subjects is, of course, radiology. I'm going to quote
the magazine:

"The medical imaging exhibit contrasts the benefits brought by inventor's
Wilhelm Roentgen's X-rays with the scandals and suspicions that surrounded
the technology. In the "Electrical Review" of 17 April 1896, one humorist
wrote:

I'm full of daze, shock
and amaze
For nowadays, I hear
they'll gaze
Thro' cloak and gown -
and even stays
Those naughty, naughty
Roentgen rays.

The International Museum of Surgical Science is on Lakeshore Dr. in Chicago
(www.imss.org). try to check it out if you're going to RSNA and you have an
hour to spare.

Enjoy,

Dania
