[Oradlist] Question

Neil, We also have a case that we have been following. We took the
latest BWs just last Thursday and the patient was understandably very
depressed. She too is a young female whom we have tested for all kinds
of things....changes in saliva and crevicular fluid etc. Unfortunately
we have already had to extract all her lower teeth. She has had
implants placed and is waiting for the definitive restorations. We have
looked throughout the literature for a solution but so far have come up
empty. I have not heard of the oxalosis theory and will look into it. I
think it's important that we continue to share information about this
terrible problem and just maybe we can find some common thread that
might lead to a solution. Lisa

Subject: [Oradlist] Question
All,
I received the following note and attached photo/radiographs from an
orthodontist in New Orleans. I also have the complete mouth survey. I
am
not sending that because of the size (600k). If anyone would like to
see it
please let me know. There was no information other than what I have
copied
below. Does anyone know of any current treatment for this apparent case
of
idiopathic cervical root resorption? Please feel free to contact him
directly, he does not have access to this list.
You all--I am calling on all of my very special dental friends, to take
a
look at these x rays of my 40 year old daughter who developed
generalized
cervical root resorption, to help me find out what caused this
catastrophe,
and what can be done to fix it. She had a full mouth x ray done a year
ago,
with NO evidence of this malady, and every dentist I have called on,
indicated that they had never seen anything like this before. If you
don`t
know, please pass it on to someone that might know, and let me hear from
you. It is so painful for one of your kids to be damaged, and you not
know
what to do to fix it---help - Gene Dongieux

Thanks,
