ORADlisters:
A recent posting on this list inquired about use of personnel x-ray
scanners in airport security. This may have been backscatter x
ray. Some technical details can be found at two manufacturers' web
sites:
<http://www.rapiscan.com/secure1000press.html>
<http://www.as-e.com/products_solutions/body_search.asp>
The illustrations on these web sites show that there are some
concerns about privacy of subjects screened.
There may have been a recent article in Wall Street Journal on this
issue.
