Dear Axel,

We have decided to reject this manuscript but suggest they amend their paper and resubmit as suggested in the reviews.

With regard to the DMFR series of articles, the publishers have agreed in principle to accept the proposal. The idea would be to aim to publish the first paper Nov 2001 and a further 2 to 4 papers after that in subsequent issues. If you are agreeable we need to decide on content, produce an outline for each paper and commit to having the first one with me by  April/May.  The time table is flexible but once agreed will need to be kept to since we will advertise in some medical journals.

How does this seem?
