Aging from radiographs

There are many reports on aging from radiographs, and most are not in the dental radiology literature, but rather in the anthropology and forensic arenas. A most extensive controlled multi-year study on twins and triplets is housed in the Bolton-Brush center in Ohio. Certainly, radiographic assessments are not precise, but can anyone provide a better and more convenient means for assessment? What better mechanism can the INS official use? If we have a better solution then it should be presented, if not then it is perhaps best to simply provide advice on how to minimize the radiation imparted. AGF
