Regarding attachment at the CEJ, all dentigerous cysts, no matter how large they become, should still remain attached at the CEJ. Lesions which are attached to the root in a more apical location generally are found to represent some other type of odontogenic pathosis at biopsy, I.E., adenomatoid odontogenic tumor. Laurie
