I tend to be somewhat like Brad but perhaps more conservative. What I
teach is that Stafne had said that up to 2 mm was normal. First I
tell them that from personal experience that this is very
"non-conservative" and that certainly when seen on a pantomograph, it
should be three. At that point I would suggest that dentigerous cyst
cannot be ruled out, but that it should be followed, not operated
upon. (In my experience very few people die of dentigerous cysts when
they are small. That may, however, be a regional variation-  :-)).

It is my understanding, and perhaps Laurie could comment upon this,
that a follicle and dentigerous cyst appear to be similar in
appearance.
