Prof Kaffe

Several years ago we purchased the CommCAT for our laboratory after
evaluating it relative to other equipment on the market. This machine allows
you to be patient specific with your radiographs. TMJ and implant films are
produced from mapping scout images (SMV or occlusals) of the individual
patient and not by using a generic data base. The CommCAT also provides
multiple operator controls. Tomographic motion, slice thickness, angles, and
beam collimation are some of the options available. This last option would,
of course, have a significant effect on patient exposures.
The cost of the machine was also a consideration.
We have had excellent service and support from Imaging Sciences
International.
