We have a DentX 810 which is approximately 7 years old and a 9000 that is approximately 2 years old. We have had a couple of breakdowns with the 810 (wear and tear), but we have not experienced any problems with the 9000. We have not experienced any film density problems as you have described, so unfortunately, I cannot make any suggestions. Brad Potter
