	"Innovative publishing forays: the UCLA Encyclopedia of
Egyptology, eScholarship and UCLA's creative team work"

	 At this round table the potential of digital research and
publication will be illustrated through a project that has been in
developement at UCLA since 2005.  The UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology
(UEE) is a large online multimedia publication for which many innovative
features are in development. These are potentially available for other
faculty members interested in developing similar initiatives. The
presenters at the round table will give a demonstration of the
functionality, and discuss the development of the project, including
cooperation within UCLA, fund raising, intellectual and organizational
aspects.
