Pius XII, Mussolini and the Jews: Towards a Culture of Exclusion
Ariella Lang

Ariella Lang is currently a lecturer in the Departments of Italian and
Comparative Literature at Barnard College, where she teaches courses on
film, cultural studies, and Holocaust literature. Her book, Converting
a Nation: A Modern Inquisition and the Unification of Italy will be
coming out with Palgrave Press in 2008, and she has published articles
on the Vatican and the Holocaust as well. Her discussion, "Pius XII,
Mussolini and the Jews: Towards a Culture of Exclusion," is part of an
ongoing project in which she explores the relationship between Mussolini
and the Jews during the Fascist regime.
Event is open to the public.
