The ESRC National Centre for e-Social Science (NCeSS) would like to remind you that the next closing date for applications for fellowships is the 31st of March.
NCeSS is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council in the UK to investigate and promote the use of e-science (cyberinfrastructure) to benefit social science research. The overall goal of NCeSS is to stimulate the uptake and use of emerging e-science technologies within the social sciences. To do this, we provide information, training, advice, support and online resources. NCeSS also researches the use of e-science technologies and advises on the future strategic direction of e-social science.
Fellowships last between one and six months, comprising one continuous period of residence at the hub or nodes or a series of shorter visits totalling at least 20 working days. Visiting Fellows will become Honorary Research Fellows of the university where they are resident. Financial assistance of up to £1,000 per month is available for travel to and from the university where Fellows are resident, accommodation there and research costs.
More information can be found on our website at http://www.ncess.ac.uk/research/fellowships/ or by contacting Prof. Rob Procter (NCeSS Research Director) - rob.procter at ncess.ac.uk
NCeSS are also holding their Second International Conference on e-Social Science on the 28th - 30th June 2006. If you would like to be kept informed of further conference announcements, registration etc then please join our monthly mailing list at http://www.ncess.ac.uk/newsletter/
