IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT BOL ACCOUNT AUDITING

  To properly manage the available disk space on the cluster 
  of Bruin OnLine
  (BOL) mail servers, on Friday, April 1, BOL will be 
  suspending the accounts of all unaffiliated users whose 
  accounts have shown no activity in the previous 90 days. A 
  suspended account will have its mailbox purged and the 
  ability to send/receive mail will cease to exist.

  Unaffiliated accounts are those whose owners are no longer 
  affiliated with UCLA as a student or employee. Almost all 
  of the unaffiliated accounts that are to be suspended are 
  graduated students and employees who are no longer 
  affiliated with UCLA. The owners of these accounts do not 
  have an entry in the payroll or registrar's database and 
  are NOT currently delineated as a "special" account by 
  BOL. Special accounts are those set up by BOL for 
  individuals who do not show up in the payroll or 
  registrar's database but require a BOL account for one 
  purpose or another. Examples include postdocs, visiting 
  scholars, emeriti, departmental accounts, campus group 
  accounts, concurrently enrolled students, guests, and 
  volunteers.

  A notice is being sent to all accounts that may be 
  purged. We are asking that, if you know of any 
  individuals who may be affected by this audit, you please 
  contact the Bruin OnLine Help Desk at 7-4357, option 2, or 
  via email at accounts at ucla.edu no later than 12:00pm on 
  Thursday, March 31st and provide us with the account 
  details so that we may exclude that account from the 
  audit. To assist you with those efforts, BOL has made a 
  web application available that will allow you to look up a 
  user by BOL ID or name to check if that person's account 
  is on the to-be-suspended list.
