Reminder:
Our next 'icompass' seminar is titled "Making the Most of Online Resources"
and is scheduled for TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2004, 2:00-4:00 PM in James
Bridges Theater, Melnitz Hall conveniently located at UCLA's North Campus,
right near a campus shuttle stop.
We've gathered some of the campus' leading experts on how to search the
Internet to teach the best ways to find things (even those things that
Google can't find), tricks for tough searches, tips for using Internet
resources to improve your workstation, and ways to use the Internet to make
you more valuable in your job. The seminar is free and refreshments will be
served at a reception immediately following. We'll have helpful handouts,
useful prizes for lucky attendees (bring your business card or something
similar), and plenty of time for questions
and answers with our knowledgeable panel (so bring your questions!).
Panelists: Esther Grassian, College Library
Hal Bookbinder, MCCS
Dawn Setzer, Library Communications
Lisa Kemp-Jones, CLICC
Molly Montgomery, AIS
Please get the word out to the faculty, staff, and students in your area.
