This position will report to Dr. Yi Chao, an Atmospheric/Oceanic
Scientist who works at JPL.  He held a workgroup to look at fishery
management a while ago and the group produced a report on the meeting.
The student who is hired will spend the summer working with Yi to edit
the report.

ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE EDITOR

JIFRESSE

 

The Joint Institute for Regional Earth System Science and Engineering
(JIFRESSE) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), is a new
research collaboration with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena.
JIFRESSE has an exciting summer position available for one UCLA
undergraduate or graduate student as an Assistant Editor to work on an
environmental science project.  The project supervisor is a JPL earth
scientist who holds an Adjunct Professor appointment in the Atmospheric
and Oceanic Science Department at UCLA.

 

The Assistant Editor's primary task over the summer is to edit a 50-page
workshop report on the application of earth science observational data
and models in fishery management.  Excellent English language skills are
required for this position.  Prior editing experience will be helpful.
An interest in science, and course work in Environmental and/or Earth
Science are useful for this project.  The hiring range for this position
is $14.21-$19.91/hour, depending on qualifications.
